In this article, we will cover:
Precisely what is SEO is?
What are the main pillar of SEO are?
How exactly do research engines work?
How do you devise an SEO strategy?
What is Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)?
In a nutshell, SEO stands for ‘Search Engine Optimisation’, which is the art of getting a business onto the first page of Google. When done right, it can bring you a large amount of free traffic, that’s from Google’s organic results.
What are the most critical areas of SEO to concentrate on?
Technical optimisation
This involves ensuring the website can get indexed; you should also submit a sitemap to Google Search Console.
Technical SEO also means to work to make the website faster, work on mobile devices, to fix broken links and pages.
On page SEO
You should write very high-quality, helpful, well-written content marketing.
You should also partner with a web design company to improve user experience and improve your website design.
Off-page optimisation
Off-page optimisation is about building relevant, white-hat do-follow and no-follow backlinks.
The anchor text should also be written in a white-hat way.
It’s been widely reported that over 50% of the website’s traffic comes from your organic results, compared to about 15% of the paid results.
Crawling and indexation
You must ensure that your website can be crawled; Google uses a crawler, which is sometimes referred to as spider or just just as Googlebot.
What is Google bot?
Googlebots job is to go from company website to company website, index it, look for changes, new pages, and new blog posts that were added and to get them indexed.
indexation
Only top-quality content marketing work cuts the mustard for getting indexed.
After it’s crawled, Google’s algorithm assesses the work, whether the work is top quality and well written. It uses Google algorthim to work this out.
Only when the work is of good quality, has a high Google E-EAT score, will it rank and get indexed.
Content marketing that doesn’t get indexed is work that Google bot and Google’s algorithm deemed as low quality; let us give some examples of the work that can be deemed as low quality.
Duplicate
If the work is duplicated, copied, or is not original, then it will not appear in Google’s index
Spam
If you have written work in a blind rush, to try and improve your SEO, but it’s low quality, then it will be deemed as spam.
Can’t be crawled
if the work can’t be crawled, it can’t be indexed
Search Engine Ranking
Only after the Google bot has crawled and indexed the pages can Google’s algorithm decide where that page should rank.
Therefore, the next crucial step is working out where to rank that page, Google therefore compares it with all the other pages written about the same topic that’s already in Googles index.
Google’s algorithm decides where to rank that page, for example, should it rank on page 3, or should it be on page 1?
SEO agencies will never be out of work
Because there are over 200 ranking factors used to determine where a page should be ranked on Google, this means us SEO companies will never be out of work. Therefore, constant competition, direct rivals, and competitors improve these ranking factors therefore setting the benchmark to beat even higher.
The businesses with the strongest SEO ranking factors will rank at the top, while the businesses with the weakest ranking factors will rank further down to page 10 of Google.
Can you give us an example of some of these ranking factors that need to be improved?
Keywords
Keywords need to be placed into elements such as the meta titles and perhaps anchor text for always write them in a white hat way.
Website needs to be lightning-fast
The website needs to be super quick; businesses and leading brands on the first page of Google will have super quick hosting; therefore, your website needs to be fast as well and keep up.
Backlinks are essential
Backlinks are crucial; your business will need quality backlinks, and often a lot of them to get onto the first page of Google.
Mobile friendly
The website needs to be mobile-friendly—it is an absolute must, the website must work on smartphones. Otherwise, you could miss out on many sales.
